Zone 4: DIGESTION
Let’s compare your body to a high-performance car; the cleaner the fuel, the better it works. Similarly, in order to work well, the body needs energy. The digestive zone is responsible for breaking down food and turning it into clean, usable energy. Learn more about how our Omaha NE chiropractor uses the Zone Technique to help balance your body.
The Digestion System
Organs connected to this zone include your liver, gallbladder, stomach, pancreas, and intestine. When this system has a disturbance, you can’t absorb that clean energy properly.
Physical, mental, or chemical stress can cause a disturbance in the brain center as well as a spinal misalignment or subluxation in the coinciding digestive nerve channels. Any spinal misalignment interferes with proper brain/nerve signals traveling to your digestive organs. Because of this, multiple digestive problems may appear. An imbalance in Zone 4 can result in:
- Excessive appetite
- Acid Reflux/Heartburn
- Food Allergies
- GERD
- Liver problems
- Indigestion
- Bowel movement issues
- Type 2 Diabetes
- Fatty liver
- Jaundice
- Stomach issues
- Intestinal issues
- Gallbladder conditions
- IBS
- Pancreas issues
How We Balance Zone 4
Surprisingly, Zone 4 is the second most common zone that becomes unbalanced. To correct this, Dr. Nilles will perform a zone 4 prone-specific adjustment. With the adjustment, he will provide a Zone 4 Sheet telling you what he did and what you should expect. It’s best to read this sheet right before bedtime. When most or all the symptoms turn to “yes”, please return it to the office.
Balancing this zone usually takes 12-14 visits over 4 weeks. It’s similar to working out; if you exercise once, you can’t expect to drop 10 pounds right away, let alone run a 5K race. Balancing this zone takes time, and it takes several adjustments.
Once Zone 4 Is Balanced, You Can Expect...
Perfect Digestive Health:
- normal weight
- regular bowel movements
- proper function of the gallbladder, liver, kidneys, pancreas, stomach, etc.
- normal digestion and assimilation of all foods
- controlled blood sugar levels
